With a team of about 15,000 professionals, Lille UH is the largest health campus in Northern Europe. As a referral university hospital and a teaching, innovation and research centre, Lille UH treats heavy pathologies requiring a cutting-edge medico-technical platform and specialized medical expertise. It aims to develop innovation and medical research. With 1,4 million of patients treated each year, Lille RUH can develop its technical capacity for both its referral activities and its proximity scope of actions.
Making innovation a priority
Due to their expertise, Lille UH medical teams have conducted many national or world premieres in terms of therapeutic innovations (ie. First world Discovery hybrid cardiovascular operating room for vascular surgery).
Lille UH makes investment expenditures each year to create and modernize hosting structures for patients and high-tech medico-technical platforms. Patient experience innovations are made. For example, two prototypes of room and outpatient sector named « Concept Room Opus 1 & 2 » have been built in partnership with a group of companies (Clubster Santé).

Lille UH ranks in the top 5 French UHs for the quality of its research. Lille UH has partnered with the industrial sector for more than 20 years to promote its expertise in terms of academic research focused on technology transfer and on its teams innovations maturation.

An international UH partner
Lille UH develops active international cooperation with universities and foreign partner healthcare facilities around the world. Lille university hospital has been certified by The French National Authority for Health. Patient satisfaction is also measured constantly to improve patient care and to best meet their expectations, providing for example a new range of services.
Lille UH won several awards for its sustainable development approach. These awards highlight its exemplary initiatives in energy and water management, food waste recycling, but also the efforts made in building new structures respecting high environmental quality standards.
